Warehouse LeadIn collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Lead determines daily workload, sets priorities and directs team with meeting daily objectives while providing superior service to Company's Distribution Centers, Customers, and Suppliers while maintaining a positive and proactive relationship with management and employees.Responsibilities:Coordinate with Supervisors to determine the daily, weekly, and monthly workload.Direct team of employees and provide leadership and assistance with the daily operations to meet all daily objectives.Assist employees with exceptions and problem resolution.Perform warehouse duties including but not limited to:Unloading and loading of shipmentsPut away and replenishmentReceivingSelection of productsItem demand/count checksCommunicate any issues or suggestions to Supervisor.Train and assess new employees and re-train as necessary.Ensure all employees are performing duties accurately and efficientlyAssist management with safety initiativesAssist management with other duties as neededQualifications:High School Diploma or GED required2-5 years' warehouse experience, including strong knowledge of Import/Export receiving and shipping and inventory control processes, procedures and practices. Must be familiar with related OSHA regulations.Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiencyAbility to effectively write and present information/reports and respond to questions from suppliers, customers, management and inter-department staffCapable of working with internal staff from other departments in a proactive and constructive mannerStrong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop individuals and teamsAble to engage and lead team discussions and meetingsUnderstands team dynamics and works well within a team structureCollaborative management style and a strategic team playerDelegates responsibilities effectivelyAble to understand team dynamics and work well within a team structureCapable of working with associates from other departments and shifts in a proactive and constructive mannerAbility to add, subtract, multiply & divides into all units of measure. Follows through on the commitmentDetail Oriented – Attention to details and accurateProven experience in performing in a diverse workforceAbility to build working relationships with internal business partners, vendors, and customerProficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)Experience with High jump/PeopleSoft, Voice Recognition and RF devices preferredMust be certified on warehouse equipmentWMS (Warehouse Management System) experience preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office & warehouse equipment and telephone to talk and hearThe employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 50 pounds and/or move up to 200 pounds with assistanceDuring a regular workday, the employee must be able to stand and walk 75% of the timeThis position will primarily work in a warehouse environment and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold and elevated ambient temperature and outside weather conditions.The noise level in the work environment is moderate and environment fast-pacedLimited travel (less than 5%) may be required to attend company events, staff meetings, training sessions or customer meetingsThis position may require evening, weekend or other shift work depending on business needsThis job description indicates in general terms, the type and level of work performed as well as the typical responsibilities of employees in this classification.
